Providing Reusable Masks For The Homeless in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
With the supply chain diverted to hospitals, the homeless and immunocompromised were in desperate need for protective masks. This initiative was dedicated to manufacturing and providing high-quality cotton masks to homeless shelters in low income MA and CT communities.
background
When the Covid-19 pandemic first hit, there was a massive shortage of masks, so naturally the small supplies were diverted to healthcare workers. However, the homeless and immunocompromised were also in great need of masks and many lacked resources to buy them at a time where there was such high demand. A friend of mine started this initiative to provide high-quality masks to the immunocompromised, and I was in charge of its e-commerce and social media graphics.
